Today the kids took their real addition test, since we had a new member to the start now program she took the test not to see if she comes back to the program but to see where she is at. After the kids took the test we combined classes with the other kinder and first graders, some second graders, and had a party for them. The parents bought some food either home made or from the store, and we had seven families and each mom and dad bought junk food. They had cake, candy, juice and many more. the kids had a lot of fun and they really got to talk to others and make friends with them. Basically that was all we did for the day.

Today was another day with the kids, but we had to catch up on attendance so we noticed that there where damilies that had missed more then 3 times. The good thing is that we have a new family member to the club. She is an outgoing little girl, since we only had her and another kid we had to combine classes again. So the kids did their homework read on their own and then we had story time with them as a group. Since this Wednesday they have their math test we had them olay tic tac toe in two groups, group x and group o. It was a little way to get them pumped into getting ready for Wednesday. That was my say with the kids!

Today was a fun day, only 2 families showed up but we combined our kids with other kids in order to be fun. So what the kids did today was pretty normal, they did their homework and practice math because next Wednesday they'll have a test to see how much they've improved. So since they wouldn't settle down Ms. Priscilla told them that she was going to text Santa Claus to tell him that they didn't want to do their work. That was so funny! So when we combined the classes the kids read a book called "The biggest Christmas tree ever" and they got to make their own tree and they were able to decorate it the way they wanted. For me it was fun because I got to interact with them in a different level not just as the teacher that has to tell them to settle down and to do their homework. It was a pretty fun day today!

Today was a slow day for us and the kids. Ms. Precilla, the lady that is in charge of the group, didn't go because she is sick. And this time only 2 families showed up so there were 3 of us and only 2 kids to help! Since they didn't have homework we made them practice some adding problems and practice words because they have a test this month to see how much they have improved on their skills. Hopefully more kids show up on Wednesday and we can have a fun Christmas activity.
